Qarakal Quantum says its mission is to bring the principles of the von Neumann architecture to quantum hardware, replacing monolithic processors built around qubit count with modular systems organized by function. Its website describes a full-stack approach that combines specialized modules, hardware–software co-design, a quantum bus for fault-tolerant modularity, and a 3D chip architecture intended to scale beyond a single planar layer. The company says its superconducting qubits are fabricated through established foundry services and run on commercial controllers.
According to the company, Qarakal was founded in 2024 within Israel's quantum ecosystem and has more than 20 employees. It lists Israel Aerospace Industries and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem among its partners. In October 2026, Qarakal and Quantum Elements announced that the Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation had selected their joint project to develop a quantum simulation platform for chemical reactions on material surfaces.
