IDEMIA Secure Transactions

IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST) describes itself as a division of IDEMIA Group focused on payment and connectivity solutions, built on long experience in cryptography and large-scale credential issuance. Its products include payment cards, mobile payment services, connectivity for consumers, IoT and cars, and what it calls Quantum Safe 5G technology. The division says it has about 9,200 employees in more than 45 countries, reported €1.5 billion in revenue in 2024 and issues more than 1.4 billion physical credentials a year.

In post-quantum cryptography, IST offers the IDEMIA Sphere Cryptographic Library, which combines classical algorithms with the NIST post-quantum schemes ML-KEM, ML-DSA and SLH-DSA, plus LMS, in digital and embedded versions. On October 29, 2026 IST announced that it had become the first company to obtain EMVCo certification for a payment card platform giving access to post-quantum cryptography and crypto-agility services.
