pQCee signs Carahsoft as master aggregator to sell post-quantum security to US agencies

pQCee will reach US federal, state, local, education and healthcare buyers through Carahsoft, its resellers and the TIPS and OMNIA Partners contracts.

pQCee Pte Ltd, a provider of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum-safe security tools, has signed a distribution agreement with Carahsoft Technology Corp., which describes itself as a government IT solutions provider. Under the deal, announced on October 29, Carahsoft becomes pQCee's Master Government Aggregator, giving the company a route into US public-sector purchasing at a time when agencies face pressure to begin migrating to quantum-resistant encryption.

The deal

According to the joint announcement, pQCee's products and services will be offered to federal, state and local government agencies as well as education and healthcare organizations. Sales will run through Carahsoft's network of reseller partners and two cooperative purchasing vehicles: The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS), under contract #220105, and OMNIA Partners, under contract #R240303. Cooperative contracts of this kind let eligible public bodies buy from pre-competed agreements instead of running their own procurement, which can shorten the path from interest to deployment.

What pQCee sells

The announcement says pQCee's tools are meant to protect sensitive data exchanges, email, mobile and web-based information and other mission-critical digital interactions with quantum-safe encryption. The company emphasizes crypto-agility, the ability to swap cryptographic algorithms without rebuilding systems, as a way for agencies to upgrade encryption in phases rather than replacing existing infrastructure. pQCee argues that this matters in government environments that mix legacy systems, cloud platforms, hybrid networks and commercial software.

pQCee's website lists products including inoQulate for post-quantum PKI certificates, PDF signing and secure email; QKDLite, which connects hardware security modules to quantum key distribution networks; SafeQuard for quantum-safe web pages; PacketQC for post-quantum discovery; and QuICScript, a browser-based 20-qubit simulator.

Why it matters

The pitch rests on the "harvest now, decrypt later" threat: adversaries recording encrypted traffic today in the hope of decrypting it once large quantum computers exist. pQCee CEO Teik Guan Tan tied the partnership to US policy, saying that "Executive Order 14412 makes it clear that the transition to post-quantum cryptography is now a national security and mission readiness priority."

Troy Meraw, Director of Quantum Solutions at Carahsoft, said the company is adding pQCee to its portfolio of cybersecurity and quantum-safe offerings as agencies prepare for evolving federal requirements. For a small specialist vendor, access to an established aggregator's contracts and reseller channel is often the main barrier to public-sector sales, and this agreement addresses that directly.

What to watch

The next signals will be whether specific government, education or healthcare buyers adopt pQCee's tools through the TIPS or OMNIA Partners contracts, and how its products line up with the federal migration requirements Tan cites.
